Applied Positive Psychology and Mindfulness: An Intervention Study

Healthcare professionals face numerous challenges in their daily work with core areas of treatment and care, but also relation to organizational changes, changes assignments, education. These entail a need for mental robustness prevent strain symptoms stress. The aim this study was examine if the health well-being healthcare can be improved via teaching training positive psychology mindfulness. An intervention conducted four-day course applied theoretical aspects 23 participants were nurses secretaries employed at regional hospital Denmark. effects assessed by semi-structured interviews quantitative measurements well-being, positivity, self-compassion. described that they had learned techniques problems new way. main themes from qualitative analysis increased positivity strengths/skills, better gearshift, serenity, Quantitative results showed an increase positivity-test, self-compassion test, WHO-5 scale during period fade 3-months post-intervention.
